A few questions if I may? I take it this is a RB24 and not 163. I'm a little colored blind so excuse me. Also is the cancel worth anything. I looked it up as The Terre Haute & Indianapolis Railroad. Does the cancel look like 1898 or 1888? Also is it a 5 1/2 ordinary hyphen hyphen hole 7
Thank you for your assistance.

It is an R163 roulette 5.5, dated 1898. The hyphen hole would be a 7. I am not sure the value or scarcity of canx.

Just have to read the bottom. The RB design says proprietary instead of documentary.

Thanks revcollector. That's what happens when I'm doing 4 things at once. That was dumb on my part never the less. Do you know anything about the cancel on this stamp?

If it helps, the cancel reading "T.H. & I. R.R. Co." = Terre Haute and Indianapolis Railroad Company.

Thanks wt1 that was what I had posted. I was curious if it was anything that would make the stamp worth anything. I read somewhere that some of the RR cancels were worth more than others.
Thanks again for the help SCF

The idea that RR cancels are worth more than others paints with a very broad brush. There would be far too many exceptions.

Here is the 2 cent documentary used on a draft with a slightly different TH&IRR cancel.
