My used set of CPS $1 set just sold for $28.
A week ago mint or used was reaching $100 per set. |

Quote:There is no puffery, no conflict of interest, just a continuing record of what happened. No one knows what will happen in the future after the initial finds have been sold which was mainly on ebay. FYI, Glen did acquire a few sets within a few days and sold them for about 1/10th. of what they were realising on ebay a few days later, no one could have guessed they would have been so popular but unlike what some other members mentioned, Australian Peel & Stick issues are very popular amongst many collectors and may most probably are the most popular material for Australian collectors of modern issues. If you check Exhibits at shows of modern material you will find many Peel & Stick entries. Just this morning I got a spam email from Glen touting these stamps and just how rare they were. Not sure how it can be said that there isn't any marketing hype going on here. Don |

Yes. I went back and pulled it from the deleted folder, the email says, "Also details on how YOU can buy the globally sought "Adelaide 2016" rare stamp set for less than $A2,000 - it will be listed and priced in stamp catalogues, that is now just confirmed - .." followed by a link to his web page (not forum) with some of them for sale. got it too, just the usual hype for any of his items. He only has a used piece and a couple of singles for sale. It is very unlikely any more mint will be found and they will go to ebay because that is where the results are. It has been confirmed that at least 2 catalogs will be listing them and who knows what the demand will be when that happens, Pagoda |

Brusden-White (ACSC) and Seven Seas Stamps "Australian Stamp Catalogue" (ASC)
They are the main catalogs used for Australian stamps in Australia,
Gibbons Editor hasn't made any statements yet.

Plenty made money in the boom of the late 1970s. Rod Perry, Richard Juzwin and any dealer worth his salt made a (literal) fortune in the 1970s boom.
I'm not saying people didn't lose, but not everyone lost.
I'm glad I just collect dead areas. |

Okay, let me ask it this way:
Q/ Did anyone spot any of these provisionals for sale at any of the dealer tables at WSS NY 2016? |

Brusden White do list the stamps but do not have a value. I will be getting the book on Tuesday and will type what it says about why there is no price. |

Thanks for the kind words. It is not my kind of collecting material. It is listed on ebay for bid start of $350 with 2 day 6hrs left. Now to see how it goes. My plant/terrarium store could do with more stock. |
