HI. I came across these recently. I received them together and because I have big questions about the 10 cents newspaper stamp being authentic, I believe I may have reason to also question the others. The reason I question the 10 cents is the white border clearly seen on the left perfs. The stamp is embossed. I think I read here that sometimes the forgeries of this stamp are also collectible. can this be one of those? All opinions welcome

The second is an OXF1, listed in the post office seals section of the Scott Specialized. The Kennedy stamp is a private die proprietary stamp listed in Scott, RS155. It should be green, but is faded a bit by sunlight or chemicals. The motor vehicle stamp appears mint, and should have the gum on the face of the stamp, not the back. The last is a Confederate bond coupon cut from the bond. These all appear to be genuine.
The newspaper stamp color is wrong, but a closer scan of the bottom is needed. The small label "NATIONAL BANK NOTE COMPANY NEW YORK" must be very sharp and clear, if not it is a fake.

Here's a good example of the first stamp:

Hi. Thanks for the great info and great tip. Here is a close up of the writing on the bottom. Notice the N in company.

It's usually faint but the oxf1 looks like it could be a OXF1g double impression one inverted. I just moved so the example I have is packed but it looks like it could be. Or it could just be the scan.

Hi Magguss. That would be nice and ease the pain accepting that my pr2 is fake. I am not sure what to look for here but maybe the extra ink around the word place?

This is outside my collecting area but the lines to the west of TAP of "stamp" and PA of"place" might be evidence of some doubling. A confirming copy is needed before a conclusion can be reached.

I have seen examples like this one before. I think it's just an inking issue.

The last item is an interest coupon trimmed off a $500 Confederate bond. Little value detached from the bond itself.

This is a good example of the doubling issue (plainly seen at the top). The second image is always inverted.
