That should do it!

Props guys at work apparently ordered something from Ukraine.
Too bad all the stamps are under packing tape. I guess that pretty much makes them garbage now?

You could wash-off the marker, and keep the piece as is. Cheers,

They have meters in Ukraine. But, the old guy that put the stuff in the box put the stamps on; he likes to use stamps. The next day the young guy taped it all up because he thought he'd keep the stamps from falling off during shipment.

I've gotten my fair share of Ukrainian mail and it boggles my mind what they use as postage. I've seen packages with whole souvenir sheets on them and whole sheets of stamps including selvage.

And the best part is, up until last year, every single stamp was gummed and perforated. Even now, only booklet definitives are die-cut self-adhesive. Everything else is still perforated and gummed.

If you are super careful, you may find that you can peel back the tape with a fingernail without tearing the stamps in the process. This may allow you to salvage some.

Would soaking them for a long while cause the tape to come away?

I wonder if the USPS would allow tape over stamps like this. It would seem to me it would make re-use easier.
