Hello hideandseeker,

Its hard to tell, you've got 2 types, I and II. One of the differences is the gum, it s more yellow at type I.
Type I has more or the less dull colours.
The colours you only can tell whebn you have more. In the Michel there are 4. The most expensive is c: yellowish oliv green (around us$ 100) number 4 is the blackish green (us$ 80).

Watermarks and perforations can be "self expertized". Colors and cancellations need to be expertized/verified by a Bundespruefer (official expertizer affiliated with the Bund Deutscher Philatelisten) in Germany. One exception is colors which fluoresce. These colors indicate a particular ink color because of the fluorescent quality of their chemistry.

Colors can and do fool anyone. Some people guess, and they believe they are correct. The expertizers in Germany specialize in limited areas of German philately. They see these stamps constantly. Really, they are the only ones who are qualified to judge colors of German stamps.

Hello,

I'll start as first post on this one.

These are interesting stamps. Lets look at them.

First set issued in 1875 known as PFENNIGE with an E at the end. Including 3, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50 Pfg. As shown on your last picture which is MiNr.36a. No b color before 1877.

Between the two sets, there is the 1877 50 Pfg PFENNIGE with the E identified as MiNr.38. You can't miss this one, only green 50 Pfg with the E

Second set issued in 1880 known as PFENNIG no E at the end. same values as the previous set. As shown on your two first pictures.

Like Kevin38 just wrote, this second set as two editions. I and II, edition II starts in 1887 to 1889. All pre 87 50 Pfg are a color. So on your second picture you have two 86 and one 82. Identified as MiNr.44a.

First picture looks like pretty much a Nr.44b.

Special features, as you can see on first picture, design will run out if no cares are taken when cleaning these stamps. (by purpose)

Best regards

Hope this help.
