This year's ORAPEX will be held April 30-May 1 at the RA Centre in Ottawa. ORAPEX is one of only a few national-level stamp shows held annually in Canada and is part of the American Philatelic Society's "World Series of Philately." This is the first year I'll be attending but I've heard many great things about this show. Members of BNAPS and the PSSC have meetings and social activities scheduled for the weekend. The Canadian National Postal Museum is also located in Ottawa. Here is a link to the Orapex 2016 website where you can get information and directions. Hope to see some of you there! http://www.orapex.ca/index.php

I will be attending - as always. It is a good show - many vendors - and a good many presentations / workshops. |

I plan to attend as well. Just a crazy thought but......lets plan a get together Saturday afternoon at 4 pm at the Societies area (map position 61) for an opportunity to meet SCF members.

I will stop by map position 61. The fellows I travel with will or should be able to oblige my stopping at the table. |

Since I live in Ottawa...i'll be attending...unfortunately I get there early in the day...and I'm pretty well browsed out before 4 pm. Good show...dealers I recommend are the Stamp Fridge, Gilles Sirois, Chris Green,Lewis Stamp and van Dam if you are interested in Canada Revenue stamps. |

Sorry but I don't have any map coordinates. I simply grabbed table 61 from the ORAPEX site map on their website. Table 61 is the area set aside for club tables and appears to be just outside the room or area with the dealers and exhibits. It shouldn't be too difficult to find.

Here's the Orapex Floor plan map.The red box is the Societies Table 61. This is the perfect place to meet before dinner. I'll have to put a reminder in my phone and pull myself away from finding that next Re-entry. graphis, Thanks for the dealer recommendations. Looking forward to going thru alot of stamps this weekend. |

As I remember when one is entering the Exhibit and Dealers area there is a short stairway to the left that goes up to where the tables are for the organizations, etc. The position 61 tables are to the right at the top of the stairs. |

Orapex is held in the curling rink of the RA Centre in Ottawa...area 61 is located in the viewing gallery looking down onto the footprint of the curling rink where all the major exhibitors are located...there are chairs and tables in the viewing gallery area. |

What happened everybody? Gilles le timbre, jimjung and I met at ORAPEX. We enjoyed meeting, looking at purchases and sharing experiences. Disappointing that more Forum members didn't join us.
Let's think about a more formal get together at the ROYAL in Kitchener Waterloo in August.
