I will not arrive in NYC until next Wednesday. Bad timing for graduations taking place this weekend. I went to DC in 2006 and my advice, is to have a least some idea of a plan for your time. It sort of overwhelms you if you just wonder around. Do leave time for wondering because you will find something interesting you may have missed - just make it after you have accomplished the key things you wanted to do/see. Register on-line if you have not already done so, it will save time.
As for myself, I suspect that the sales volume and prices paid will be disappointing. Consequently, I am waiting for a post show fire sale. I honestly believe that prices are headed for a (possibly serious) correction. We'll know for sure in a couple of weeks. Just my two cents worth.
Well, it seems pretty clear that I am very late to the party on this one. Better late than never I guess.
I'll be around from Sunday through Tuesday night, and game to any gathering. As some of you know, I am weird and one-dimensional and only collect Newfoundland. I have volunteered to sit at the Canadian - BNAPS booth from 2pm to 3pm on Sunday the 29th if anyone wants to come by and tease me (I'll have some of my covers to share and a new website census archive literature)...
Or I will not be waiting for fire sale--I've got my hot list and a check book!
