Why The Color Discrepancy With This Uruguay Stamp

This stamp with this denomination is shown in Stampworld as dark brown and the year is 1928. In Scott's, it is listed in two colors for this denomination. One is fawn for 1936 and the other is rose for for 1944. As you can see, the stamp I have is a dark violet if anything. Thanks for any help on this. Jim

Try Scott 576, which is violet.
