Please use this thread to post stories, notes and pictures about your experience at the show. Other threads on SCF cover meeting up at the show, expectations and predictions, auction "etiquette" and other topics not directly related to on-site experience. Let's continue to use those threads for those topics. Thank you and enjoy the show.

If there was a social media outlet, I would have expected to see many photos on APS facebook page already. |

ckpalermo1964,
I searched 2016 world stamp show expectations, 2016 world stamp show predictions, and 2016 world stamp show expectations and predictions. The only thing that came up is this thread. Do you know where I should be looking? I am interested in following prices and demand.
Thanks, Jack Kelley |

Went to the show yesterday. Quite large and impressive. All the auction houses, every major dealer, plenty of selection available. Some very high end sellers charging way more than the stamps would get at auction and plenty of regular dealers too. Lots of business being done. Pretty much every seat at every table filled with people looking at stamps and lots of cash changing hands.
We enjoyed it a lot. Decent food court available. Parking and traffic are a nightmare.
Bought a bundle of stamps. The exhibition parts are so huge as to be too much to try to take in. Seemed like miles of displays. |

I'm at the show now. I only have a nook for internet access and an ancient (at least 7 years old) flip phone for taking pictures.
Any SCF members interested in saying hello, or avoiding me, I'm the guy wearing a white shirt with the Stampsmarter logo on the front. Likely the only one... |

My first impression... where is everyone? I expected a large crowd. Not so, in my opinion. Pretty much walk right up to any dealer table and sit down. And I did! Had to remind myself I've got 6 more days. |

Does anyone have a picture showing the exhibit frames? I want to see how much they differ from the APS frames... |

I'm sure the crowd one experienced varied by interest. I did see many dealers waiting for customers - especially those with very narrow specializations. My experience was at broad US and international dealers. I had to wait for a seat at most places I went. This was from about noon to about 5 Saturday. I hit the US dealers and my wife was hunting down dealers with Eastern European stamps. |
