Hi there. I'm new to stamp collecting and I have a sheet of stamps I'd like to store safely. It is not a group of individual stamps, it is a sheet containing 20 stamps (4x5). I have absolutely no album, holder, etc. etc. for them. Right now I have it nestled in the pages of a very large dictionary for safe keeping. I was wondering if there was some type of clear plastic sheet that had the holes punched for a three ring binder. Does something like this exist? Most of the stamp storage products I've seen hold individual stamps, not a stamp book. Thanks!

necbot, welcome to the forum. There are several ways to keep a complete sheet, although I believe you are talking about a sheetlet rather than a sheet. An outfit called Global Stamps in Olympia, Washington has a website, http://globalstamps.com and they have mounts for sheets so you can display your sheet in an album.

For these size sheets I would use Vario various pages, probably those with 1 pocket. For example,

For modern US sheetlets of 20 stamps, I'll echo the recommendation for Vario 1-pocket pages. They also make them in clear, in case you want to see both sides of the sheet:

Clear plastic perforated sleeves (Wilson Jones) work for me. You can find these at an office supply or retail store.

I personally use these, they work quite well and as an added bonus, crafts stores typically stock them, so no wait to get them and no shipping charges. If you link to most craft stores websites you often get % off coupons that will typically net you up to half off their retail price.

Thank you all for the advice. I decided to go with the lighthouse vario sheets because there are so many different types of them for whatever direction my stamp collecting takes (single stamp or sheets). It seems I can even use them for some old silver certificates I have lying around :D
