Today is the first anniversary of
www.StampWorldHistory.com. StampWorldHistory aims to provide the historical context of stamps issued worldwide. In country profiles, the political and postal history of countries is discussed. Maps and diagrams illustrate the political and postal history.
When I launched StampWorldHistory a year ago, a complete set of country profiles was available for Asia. Now, one year later, complete sets are available for Africa, the Americas, Antarctica and Asia. A total of over 300 profiles, including over 1 500 stamp issuing entities.
Given that StampWorldHistory is aimed at a niche – worldwide collecting – within a niche – stamp collecting – I am more than content with the site statistics. In the past year, over 20 000 people have visited the site, viewing over 75 000 pages.
