Scott list these as Sc 373 & Sc 374. The Sc 374 is unwatermarked. Scott does not mention about watermark on the Sc 373 but perhaps it is watermarked and that is the deciding factor but nothing definitive. |

One is on wove paper with the 1925-style watermark; the other is on laid paper with no watermark. Both catalogue the same value. |

Scott only gives information on watermark, perforation or printing method if this has changed from the previous set in their listing.
Scott #373 has wmk 170 because the previous set is wmk 170.
SG and Michel list three perf versions of the unwatermarked stamp:
- perf 10.5 (the usual stamp) - perf 10 - perf 10 x 10.5
as well as an imperf between pair.
The prices for the perf 10 and perf 10 x 10.5 stamps are about ten times those of the perf 10.5 stamp.
Neither mentions the paper type (at least in my old editions).

Hi Nigel, I've tried to calculate the perfs, but because I'm using sw, but didn't calculate because of the color of the paper base. Could you please help me out with this one?

You can always use a ruler to measure the perfs when they are in relatively large increments such as ˝. Just count how many teeth (or holes, depending on your preference) in 20mm -- that is the definition. So in this example, you will either have 10 complete holes or 10˝ holes every 20mm. |

Hi, ok and thanks a lot. Btw is a certain start point where I have to place the ruler? |

Different people use different methods. I prefer counting holes and part holes. In that case, I start the ruler at the center of a tooth, and count the number of holes (part holes) in the next 20mm. That's what I do when I've misplaced my perforation gauge and need a quick rough measurement. |
