1888 Wells Fargo Sonora Cal.

This cover caught my eye when going through a bin at the WSS. I only have a two Wells Fargo covers and they're both pretty poor. They also only have one handstamp.

I think it has decent eye appeal. The sharp red Sonora cancel jumps out. Having the purple receiving cancel planted in a clean part of the cover is a bonus. My scanner doesn't do it justice.



Having the date upside down is kinda cool also.

Great eye appeal! And yes, the inverted date slug makes it a great piece IMO.
