I don't believe that Scott has released PDF versions of their catalog since 2009, so the values would be out-of-date now anyway. I understand that the pages of that version were not (easily) printable. The 2007 PDF versions were, but the prices would be even more out-of-date.

Perhaps if you explained why you need a printable catalog, we would have a better chance of advising you. If all you need are particular countries, not the entire catalog, then it might make more sense to just buy the Scott pages for those countries from http://scottcataloguepages.com/.

Additionally, the current e-book version is NOT printable.

However, since I insist upon having the revenue section of the U.S. Specialized Catalogue with me at shows, I go through and display the pages on a high-resolution monitor in portrait mode, take screen captures, then put them all into a PDF and OCR it to make it searchable. Then I put it on all my computers and mobile devices so I have it at a moment's notice. I can also print out copies as needed to annotate for research purposes.

Not a perfect solution, but until Amos Media stops being paranoid and embraces collectors' ability to utilize the catalogs offline, there isn't much choice other than as mentioned above, cutting up printed catalogs.

If you could print off of a PDF version ,then someone would make copies and sell them on ebay . Amos and Scott have already talked about regional or subject related catalogs much like Michel's .

And that fear, rather than embracing the digital age and coming up with viable pricing models for digital products, will hasten Amos's demise.

Amos is discontinuing support for the old, highly useful iPad versions of their catalogues at year-end. Sad to see a company so out-of-touch as Amos has become.

So... what happens to those people who purchased catalogs on that platform? Are they SOL?

Hallo collife88,
Welcome to the forum.
I am new to the stamp hobby, my hobby for many years has been rescueing/restoring 100 year old pocket watches, the ladies & gentleman of your country have helped me a lot over that time ;) so I hope I can save you some money here ;)
If you are looking for the rare or high value variation stamps in a large lot to put aside for whatever reason, like I am, the "standard" Scott cat. doesn't have enough information to cover or price all you may come across.
I have found this out the hard way. You will need to look at more "specialised" up to date catalogs to find & value the many variations.
Things like rare/special cancelations, mistakes, colour differences, etc. on stamps can have a lot more value or add to the stamps value it's on & Scott standard cat. doesn't cover all this nor could it as it would be even bigger than the full paper set is :)
You will need to target what you have with what you are looking for in your collection & then choose a specialised cat. or cat.s to do the job for you. I have found no cheap way out of it other than gaining help here on the forum from those willing to save you time & money with their time & experience.
This is a great place for that with great people much like the watch forums I'm active in ;)
Also searching takes a lot of time on the web, & in my case of solar power for charging computer batteries & limited wireless web allowances per month, I have found Books a better choice for my situation long term.
Good luck with whatever you are doing & I hope this helps a little.

Best wishes......Jad
