I'm reviewing my Grandpa's album and found this "stamp".
Is this a stamp? Im talking about the head looking left in the middle. It has no descriptions or numbers or words at all..
Does someone know anything about it?
Thanks = )

Mercedes, that is called a "Hermeshead", and yes, there are stamps that sort of look like yours. But I think yours is a Cinderella or something else made to look like the early Greek stamps.

OK, I have to apologize. It is not a Hermes head. The stamp depicts Mercury and your stamp is very early Austrian newspaper stamp.

Newspaper stamps were issued by many countries back in the 19th century to pay for the mailing of newspapers. They were not good for regular postage. They were usually attached on a wrapper that had the address on it but could have been attached to the paper itself.

There were three types of this stamp with slight variations. It's difficult to tell from your image because of the angle and size, but I think yours may be a Type I. The stamp also came in course and fine printing versions, meaning the quality of the printing. Again, a better scan would help.
It dates from1867 to 1876.

Thanks guys!
Just one more question.
I've found in the album a couple (few) stamps that might have some value.
Can I look for interested people here in the forum?
Thanks again. Mercedes.
