Besides the horizontal laid lines, I can also see the vertical verger line on the left. How many copies are there both mint and used of Canada Scott/Unitrade 33?

Just looking at the stamp this way proves the back of the stamp is laid paper. It does not rule out that it could be re-backed. Further tests can rule out
re-backing as described in the Greene Foundation link posted earlier in this thread.

For a re-backing test, the watermark fluid test is important especially to note how the paper evenly or unevenly absorbs and unabsorbs the fluid. Ideally, the fluid should be able to evenly penetrate the paper without much resistance fast. If not, it could be indicative of some adhesive in between two pieces of paper from re-backing that is somewhat blocking the penetration of the watermark fluid.

Jogil you says
'' How many copies are there both mint and used of Canada Scott/Unitrade 33?''

What do you mean? How many copy with Verge are know? Or how many per sheet?

If it is how many are know, I think unuse is less than 10 know, use, there is way more of them.

#33 is the easiest laid paper to find. Then #31 which is a bit harder. #32 is the hardest with only three reported copies.

I am hesitant to judge it solely on the scan, but it looks like laid paper to me.

We will know in 2-3 days :) But I think the Verger mark is a good indication of a genuine laid.
