For those that don't know, Dexter Holland is the guitar player for the punk rock band "The Offspring."

Kind of a interesting fellow for a world famous musician.

Not only is he a PhD candidate in molecular biology with his name on an actual research paper, but it seems he's an avid collector of stamps from The Isle of Man.

Cool! I think I blew out a pair of speakers listening to the Offspring's "Smash" album back in the early-mid 90's.

Pretty cool and he is a fascinating dude. Most people in the punk rock world are. And yes, Smash came about when I was in Jr. High. Used to blare that and wear my flannels and chain wallets around.

This just makes me like Offspring even more ;)

Hopefully he could lure Greg Graffin (of Bad Religion) join the 'stamp collecting punks'

Punk with an IQ. I had a chance to meet the whole band after a concert (won a radio contest), but it ended about 11pm and I had a 2 hour drive ahead of me and was supposed to work the next day and had no idea how long I would have to wait to meet them, so I wimped out and gave my pass to a random girl. Went to at least one of their other show (been to enough shows I can't remember them all). Also have seen Bad Religion.

Being in the 50's my favorite bands date from the 60's, 70's and 80's. John Lennon and Freddie Mercury were stamps collectors when they were young like many kids of their generation. Found this on 2-Clicks Stamps about Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones.

Quote:
Ronnie Wood, the lead guitarist of The Rolling Stones became a renowned stamp collector after his alcohol rehabilitation therapy. Wood collects rare stamps and often makes them his subjects in painting.

It's supposed to be a secret, but I know Rod don't build it, it's Georges Sellios who did it, The style is the same , and Georges was very busy on something he never say
