Quote:Hi to all,
I do not understand why
ebay restricts items, that in itself is restricting a persons right of free trade.
Does that mean
ebay will soon ban all first editions books of Rudyard Kipling, because most have swastikas printed on the front covers and spines.
Just because an item has a swastika on it does not make it offensive. Nor does it mean that you believe in the ideology of the items.
The swastika for example is a religious symbol in Asia, and there are instances of it being used in Ancient Egypt and Babylon.
This political correctness nonsense has got out of hand.
Shall we next ban all items concerning Oliver Cromwell (real name Oliver Williams) as he was one of the greatest mass murderers in history.
Do we ban items of Winston Churchill because of his political beliefs and association with the Boer War
It is time that
ebay stopped all the nonsense,.
Next they will want to ban "The diary or Anne Frank", because most of it was written by a ghost writer, employed by her father after WWII
This revisionist idea of history is rediculous. The past is the past, and we must not forget it, but learn from it, and banning items is hiding it, and trying to make it disappear.
I am saying all this from the point of an Historian and Archaeologist, and no offense is intended to any person, group or organisation or animal or human rights protection groups.

Horamakhet.
