Wineburgh Philatelic Library - Lecture #2 July 16, 2016
2016 July 16
I've not seen this announced elsewhere in SCF.

The Wineburgh Philatelic Research Library will present its 2nd Wineburgh Philatelic Lecture at 2:30 p.m. on July 16, 2016 in the Eugene McDermott Library Auditorium on the campus of the University of Texas at Dallas. This lecture is free and open to the public.

The lecturer will be noted philatelic author, exhibitor and judge John Hotchner of Falls Church, VA. Mr. Hotchner will give a presentation on "U.S. Postal Counterfeits, 1895 to Modern Times." In addition to the lecture, Mr. Hotchner will have approximately 5 frames of material to display that will complement his presentation. The lecture will discuss how the exhibit came about and the material itself: (a) how it was created and distributed; and, (b) how the government deals with it.

The Wineburgh Philatelic Library is located in Richardson, Texas, a northern suburb of Dallas. It's relatively easy to get to from anywhere in the North Texas region.

Last year's event was a presentation by Ken Lawrence, and a great time was had by all.
