hello!i was going trough my collection and found one stamp that I cant fint!maybe I iam wrong!but what are the forum for if not get some answers!i have put upp two stamps here for comperesence the 10 centavo blue coat of arms is the standard stamp but the ather is also exatly likewise but its lilac exept the orange there the eagle and the snake are!i have been sertshing a bit several times for four or five days and cant find it,but if it wants to be found it will pop upp here!but in this case iam not shore it will happend!you can look att the scan and there you can se that they are exactly same exept the color!if it was a differnt year it would probely be alittle difference in the stamp!but you newer knowe!i have been reading about the printing method and it is intaglio printing probebly photogravyre I think it was iam not 100 % about it but 95% but the answer I was loking for whitsh isent easy to find is"did they use aneline ink in the period 1895-1903 on this kind of stamps"i read something about the the paper on this stamps was to dry to do the intaglio printing whith aneline ink!but iam not shore!it would be better for me if it wasent aneline ink as it always is when it comes to colors of stamps!so this is a wild goose chase I just want it reweld then howe it works out is a different store!i like this stamps coat of arms I like the eagle!its like people eagle people and snake people!iam happy to say I think at this forum it is eagle people whith sharpend site for deatails!haha love and peace!okey lets se if there are somone that find this one!maybe it says something in the catalog!thanks for all the help!maybe its nothing!but we will se!have a great day!bye

If you are asking if these are two different stamps, then YES, they are. The original set was issued in 1899 and included the purple and orange 10 centavos stamp (SG 270). Most of the set was re-issued in 1903, with a change in the colours of the issues, resulting in the 10 centavos stamp appearing in blue and orange (SG 280).

I don't know where you look , but the purple and orange is 1898 or 1899 wand the blue and orange 1903. , both with minimal value

For those interested Scott 298 violet & orange year 1899 of issue and Scott 308 blue & orange year 1903 of issue.

Strange I was looking ewerywere on the ner I Did 60 sertshes of the stamp! But okey then I knowe as boring as usual but think god Their are athers! Thanks for the help the resertsh was god eny howe ! Have Agreat day cant understand Howe coldent fond IT understand me right when I say that computers and information is bit confusing! Bye

You need a catalogue, as you see in this Scott classic it's very clear, illustration a29 and the 2 listings 1898 and 1903 are one over the other
