It may be, but not quite sure. SG lists this variety as SG 125a, but the illustration is very small. I also don't have any other copies to compare. Am I right?

I would share your opinion.
The top of the last "S" of the normal, shares a common height with the row of letters.
Your last "S" is obviously smaller thanks to your close up.

On a curiosity bent,
I would suggest the IS'DS abbreviation is a creative adoption, to fit the print between the Monarchs.
Never seen this abbreviation style before for "Islands."

I agree that they took some interesting liberties to make it fit just right ... but I like it.

I am hoping that someone can post their copy so that I can see if this is truly a short S or if it is just a normal version.

Thanks Rod, that blow-up is much better than my old book's illustration. It is funny how a small shift can increase the(supposed) value by 30x. A great find for US$0.10.
