I will be in Ottawa later next week and was contemplating a visit to Library and Archives Canada to see some stamps, documentation, etc.
My interest is constant plate varieties, so seeing some sheets and/or plate proofs of Canada's engraved stamps is what interests me the most.
The Library and Archives Canada website is very slow and not very helpful in getting specific information about what services are available and what can be seen at the Canadian Postal Archives.
Does anyone have any information on how such a visit can be coordinated, what it is possible to see, and what rules there are for getting copies of documents?
Unless things have changed..you have to go online and register...once registered on your first visit you'll be given an access card. I live in Ottawa, have registered but have yet to visit the archives...but my wife has gone to the archives and had to go through that process.
