I have a stamp with the Liberia #31 design, but it's brown instead of dark blue. It's hand cancelled with an X and has grid lines on the back, so maybe it's postal stationery that's been cut out? Has a background texture printed on it, like a mottled bluish tint. I'll try to post photos. Thanks!

Hi Westrad, and welcome to the forum! I think you are correct - it looks just like a cut square from a piece of postal stationery.

Thanks, Peter! I put it in my album as a space holder. It was with a St. Christopher stamp so I thought it might be a Leeward Island stamp (the word Liberia is small and hard to see), and lo and behold Liberia was on the very next page in the Scott Classic Catalog! The design jumped right out at me. I never would have found it otherwise.
