A joint issue by Israel and China shows two very similar, but not identical, Peace Doves, 2012. Diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties.

This postal stationery cover, issued as a FDC with a printed cancel (International Year of Peace) 8th of May 1986 wasn't used until the 29th of December, 1989, which is only a few weeks after the fall of the wall on the 9th of November and a few months before East Germany ceased issuing stamps. Thus the envelope needed a valid stamp for registered mail, seen on the back. It was accepted and canceled. The letter arrived in Surfers' Paradise on the 15th of January after having passed the registered mail offices in Brisbane and the Gold Coast of Australia.

The Sovereign Military Order of Malta is the oldest chivalric order and is devoted entirely to aiding needy people in almost all parts of the world. Nowadays the order is based in Rome but since it no longer has any territory (formerly Malta), its stamps are sometimes classified as cinderellas. The German post honored the Maltese Order in 1969 with its cross on a stamp (Hilfsdienst - Helping Services). Note scudo denomination, formerly Malta, on the stamp for the year of peace, 1986.

Here are images of the three stamps in a set commemorating the Allied victory in World War II, printed by typography (letterpress), and issued by Bulgaria on February 28, 1947, Scott Nos. 561-63. Note: The first stamp depicts a laurel branch and the national emblems of the Soviet Union, the United States, Great Britain and Bulgaria, and the other two similar stamps depict a peace dove.

The Peace 'Doves' of San Marino, painted by Luciano Minguzzi, are remarkably similar to terns. For comparison a painting by Audubon. Minguzzi is better known for his sculptures, one can be found on page 14 of "Statues on Stamps". Terns of various species have very different coloring, primarily in white and black.

In 2015 Great Britain issued a set of 6 stamps commemorating the Magna Carta of 1215. The set included citations from other declarations of rights such as the Bill of Rights. The stamp for the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948 shows a Peace Dove flying over a devastated city.
