Hi Rod, Thanks for the added info; indeed, the two islands became a single state in the commonwealth in November 1981. There was a time of transition in which some stamps were overprinted. The islands suffered terribly during this year's hurricane season. Stamp with Prime Minister Bird.

From 1997 onwards there are several issues from Antigua & Barbuda without the ampersand (&), including the Elle Macpherson sheetlet. She does not appear to be wearing any of her range of DOVE grey lingerie on those stamps.

Two Peace Doves for the International Day of Peace today and the word Peace in Chinese characters. According to the UN postal administration:
"Symmetry is all about balance. Balance is a measure of equality. And true equality is the harbinger of peace."

Celebrating democracy in Chile after the years of dictatorship. The Peace Dove still looks a bit tattered.

One of the prettiest Peace Doves on a stamp, note also the olive twigs, was issued by Belgium in 1951 for the 5th anniversary of UNESCO. I'm including the other two stamps of the semipostal set because they represent the Education and Science aspects of UNESCO's work.

China issued a Peace Dove in 1953. Here is one of the set of three. Does anyone know who did the artwork?

Bulgaria celebrated the 40th anniversary of the October revolution with a Peace Dove in front of the darkened area marking communist countries in 1957. It looks like a Picasso dove.
