The Peace Bridge crosses the Niagara between Canada and the US. I just discovered that there is an organization on the Canadian side called The Fort Erie Multicultural Centre which assists newcomers and refugees from their first steps in Canada until their long-term integration into local communities. (In both pictures the US is on the right.)

(The engraver specialists will be able to tell you who did the beautiful stamp.)

I admire the simplicity and clarity of this Australian Peace Dove.

(Hi Rod, Your blue Turkish Dove is also one of those simple, clear designs. K.)

Hello Kris,
not overly enamoured with Australian Stamps apart from the Kangaroos, and Airpost.
not sure why
Perhaps because it is my country, and I am so used to them.

Christmas seal 1940
Not mine (missing this one)

The Philippines held a conference in Baguio in 1950 with the hope of establishing an organization between regional nations. (Scan of FDC borrowed from 'Philippine Republic Stamps' on the web.) I'm not sure why the 18 centavos was reduced to 10.

The Hungarian Peace Dove, 1995, is wearing the colors of Great Britain, France, the United States, and Russia, commemorating the end of World War II.

(Hi Rod, Your pretty Colombian Dove is also wearing a lovely dress, quite a unique design. K.)

Offered with courtesy and respect, "Colombian Dove"

I have been upbraided by "Jerry" on SCF oft times, for this slip up.

Nice spotting on the Colombian Dress ! I didn't see that myself.

A brief sojourn, from the Thematic....................... Mr. Picasso.

The Czechoslovakian sheet for the Year of Peace is the biggest one I know of, measuring 17.5 X 11 cm. The Dove is also wearing many national colors.

(Hi Rod, Thanks for the reminder, and for Picasso himself! K.)

China's stamp for the end of the second world war; a pretty design in the tab showing that Peace Doves can overcome even the highest wall.
