Classic Albania is a minefield of forgeries.

I suggest you spend some time gathering specialist literature if you want to go down this route.
A good place to start is: "Francobolli D'Albania 1913-1944 Catalogo Specializzato"

Interesting.
I collect Albania, and am completely void of the early classics,
looking at the prices, understandably.
First time I have seen these on a forum.

Clues I would use.
Where were they sourced? and at what price?
This is the most obvious, stamp collectors do miss items, but stamps as valuable as these, very doubtful.

These triplet of stamps appear to have the identical postmark, socked on the nose,
teasingly lightly printed, and vague.
The opt on some are very detailed, unlike Scott images which appear more
dark and smudgy.

Let us know your results of enquiries please.

Thank you Rafa,
I have saved your images for my information.
Look forward to hearing your observations, after reading the catalogue.

I have a few examples of these overprint stamps that are certainly forgeries, but I can't find much information about them.

They did get me interested in the classic Albania "minefield of forgeries". From what little I have found so far it seems there may be many different forged varieties, since the Turkish stamps used for these Albania overprints are very common.

Any suggestions for english language specialized information?

Those aren't mine, I just resurrected this thread. Thanks for the information, that's very helpful.

I read on an ebay listing that the top of the S should be "flat" and the tail of the P a bit short, but didn't find anything to corroborate that. Based on stamps with certs it seems right.
