It is a damp morning so decided to start organizing my digital philatelic material clippings in Microsoft OneNote.

I am taking pdf's and storing in OneNote. When you store in OneNote you can have it displayed and the text is searchable. This applies to images and other files (Word, Excel, etc). You can just attach as well (saves space) but not searchable.

Once incorporated into OneNote you do not need to store them elsewhere. Some do this for virtually every document, etc. on your system. You can send emails to OneNote so many use this as a way to organize receipts, etc.

I'm in the midst of going through and mounting the items I acquired at the recent stamp show in Richmond. Currently I am integrating a used accumulation of Japan into my existing Japan collection, and realizing that I have a lot of holes, even the common ones. So, I've been doing some online searching for Japanese material as well...this is how it goes with me.

dkabq8, I also measure progress by getting to the end of a 1000 hinge package. :)

I am looking forward to being off tomorrow for Columbus Day...a rare day home alone!

Just finished (last night) listing about 50 lots including common US Bicentennial issues from around the world and some unusual Boy Scout related material. Three of those lots sold within an hour.

Completed filling in the Benin section of my Stamp Mate database and submitted missing listing (over 500 in past 3 days) to Col-nect. All those late 1990s to late 2000s overprints and surcharges on Dahomey and Benin stamps...enough to drive one crazy!

After almost 60 years of collecting mainly U.S. I have decided to delve into WW, with emphasis on filling an empty Vario album with the most colorful stamps I can find, starting with KGVI. First aquisition was a cheap but colorful set from St. Vincent.

Actually, I've made several fitful starts at collecting outside the U.S., so I'll see how this goes. Wish me luck!

@Dry Tech

You may want to consider joining The International Society of World Wide Stamp Collectors (ISWSC).

Drytech - welcome to the world of collecting WW !
Good choice with Vario albums, easy and flexible to expand an ever growing monster collection

DJCMHOH - wow, good work on Benin, guess those surcharges require some stamina

@dkabq8 Thanks. I will consider joining.

@Blaamand Thanks for the encouragement.

Being new at this I feel like a kid in a candy store! So many affordable stamps - so little time. I've already run into several dealers who are obviously using shill bidders so it's not all fun and games. One shill has almost 800 bid retractions! I've found one U.S. ebay dealer who seems decent (low shipping charges are important to me). Any other good dealers out there? Being a raw rooky I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Dry Tech and Blaamand - Glad you like WW stamps. My Dad (deceased in 1999) had many stamp collections. In August, 1974, he bought the Complete WW II Collection in 6 parts and 50 page Album and also WW I collection from H.E. Harris, for $ 144.95 at the time. It is there but waiting to be inventoried......a future project when I get "old"
