Well I think it is from Great Britain as there is no country marked on it. I have been through my Stanley Gibbons catalogue and can't find it. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm thinking it might be SG# D15 (1914), but there is no pic in the book. Can anyone confirm this?

I wondered if it might be Aussie, but I thought it would have Australia on it, or being early 1900 then maybe a State name on it. I don't have that catalogue out of the library at the moment. Anyone have a Catalogue number and value, please?

Disregard this, I just found it in Bandicoot's Scott catalog. I'm going to have to check perfs and watermarks on this one.

It's SG Australia D5.
It's interesting that the first stamp issues of a united Australia were postage
due stamps. Australia become independent as a united federation in 1901 with each state continuing to issue it's own postage stamps. Then in 1902 postage due stamps were issued for all of Australia, excluding Victoria. So it was not until July 1909 that the very first united Australia occurred, again as a postage due. The first united Australian regular postage stamp would come in 1913. Please take note that all postage dues between 1902-1909 were silent, no indication of country of origin, as shown above.
