Hi guys..Was going through about 100 covers of this Scott 1931 with this stamp on it and notices that Unitrade shows...

T1 - Untagged (error)
T2 - Light tagged all over (error
T3 - Doubled tag (error)

I found T2's and normal tagging...But there is another error that appeared on about 10% of these covers...That is partial tagging in bottom right hand corner of the stamps.

Take a look at the picture below (as good as I could get it) and the first stamp on the left is normal, and the third stamp on the right is light tagged...But the middle stamp has the corner lightly tagged and found it constant on about 10% of the covers.

Maybe Unitrade should insert another item, lets say T4 - Incomplete tagging (error)...Any thoughts.

Robert

Hey wert,

It look very much like tagging "errors" I found on some Olympic stamps. Look here: https://goscf.com/t/48751

I finally concluded that it must be that stamps were "rubbed" together because I found many other with different state of "missing tag" in my bag of stamps.

What do you think?

Hi pepere_jack

Then all my stamps that are the same bottom corner missing must have rubbed up to other stamps in the EXACT same way...Hardly think that would happen.

Ok, I did not catch that there was many stamps with the same error... I don't understand the mechanics of tag printing, so I will not even try to propose a possible cause. But I will still stay attentive to what other people have to say, just in case it would bring other information for my case.

Good luck.

I have questions about tagging on some of my items also. However, the best proof would be an unused stamp so that we can eliminate any scuffs or rubbing from our friendly mail carriers. Can we locate one of those?
