I have seen a six stamp booklet, but didn't note the denomination which is probably $5.10 (Permanent 85 cent). I seem to remember Terry Sawchuk as one of the six different players.

The post office has not received anything other than these booklets so couldn't tell me if other stamps are being issued as well.

There is nothing on Canada Post's website including philatelic sales and news releases.

The employee said the issuance date is September 26th, but the RCPS web site suggests it could be September 23rd.

According to Canadian Stamp News, the stamps will be unveiled on Sept. 23, and they will honour NHL great forwards. Terry Sawchuk is a Goalie, so I doubt he will be included.

Likely much more than a six stamps booklet for the NHL issue. The latest issue of Details shows the upcoming third quarter collector pack with some blank stamp illustrations. It's priced at $39.90. So far I count only $18.90 in third quarter issues, Birds (5 @ .85 + 4.25 souvenir sheet), Haunted Canada (5 @ .85 + 4.25 souvenir sheet), and Community Foundation (2 @ .95). So the NHL issue will add another $21 to the third quarter total.

The NHL forwards are Sydney Crosby, Mark Messier, Phil Esposito, Steve Yzerman, Guy Lafleur and Daryl Sittler.

Received the Details magazine yesterday #6 September 2016 and it is devoted entirely to the Great Canadian Forwards. I notice that Canada Post is discounting some of the older framed prints.

Also, has anybody noticed that the last 3 Details magazines have "Personalized Mail" imprints on the back (name and address) page?
Each is tailored to one of the stamp issues in the magazine - Dinosaurs, Haunted Canada, Hockey. Except for the Hockey one, the images are of whatever is featured on the cover. In the case of the Hockey, its a combination of the bottom half of Lafleur and Sittler images.

Don't have a scanner available atm to reproduce them here.

pwscg... I have noticed that "Details" sent to a Canadian address has the personalized postage. But to the USA (and probably international) it is still the old indicia. The post office copies, being back to back bilingual, have no postage.

If anyone has an extra "Dinosaurs" Details with the personalized postage, I'd love to hear from you.

sak - I have only one, but will gladly exchange it for another Dinosaur Details without the Personalized Postage on it.

Guy Lafleur has arrived on cover, nicely cancelled, thanks to Gilles Le Timbre.
