Attached is a new Picture Postage stamp released earlier this week in Montreal, for the inaugural day of the ICAO assemble. The first 2 who send me a mail request, using a new Canadian Hockey legend stamp on their letter, will receive 1 1st day cover, and I will also use a 1.80 hockey legend for postage. Send me a note on the forum to get mailing address

Quite the stamp!

The brain-trust at Canada Post's design department must have drained all the juice from the imagination vat for this one.

We can only hope it gets refilled in time for next year's money-grabbing plethora of issues complete with different papers and errors etc for Canada's 1.5 Centennial.

This looks like the Canada Post commemorative envelopes. But it is not on the Canada Post site, or the ICAO site. Do you know if this will be for sale by Canada Post after the conference? I see the last day is Oct 7th?

Thanks for sharing the picture

BeeSee and blackJag, your cover is in the mail. Starlight, since you seemed interested, I got another copy at closing of the Assembly so send me your mailing address and I will gladly send one envelope to you.

It was not clear that this is a commemorative envelope ( indicia printed on the envelope) or a picture postage stamp affixed to an envelope. Quite a difference.

That is very kind of you Gilles le timbre, I have a few more posts to make before I am allowed to send an email through, as I am a newer member on this board(makes sense with bots and spam and such). I will definitely be in contact, when I am allowed. I collect Canadian Picture postage, and I have really enjoyed the experience. Hopefully I can send you some you dont have. I also collect Canada, GB, and aviation as theme world wide, so I think this cover is particularly interesting for me in that regard. Many thanks.

Gilles, the ICAO Picture Postage cover has arrived, thank you very much. The Guy Lafleur stamp card was used as postage, I have shown it here in the NHL thread:
