Your pictures are way too small to be able to tell anything. But since you have this many, why not start with checking perforations, watermarks etc. My Scott catalog lists all of the types with pictures, so it should not be too difficult.
If everything else fails you can always rely on http://stampsmarter.com where you can find a fantastic Washington/Franklin identifier! Good luck!

My guess: they all look like type-1, only the bottom right stamp is a 554

The task is fairly simple.

First, bypass Peter's answer, which seems to echo a possible misunderstanding in your question on types, and is based on thinking you have stamps from the Washington/Franklin era of 1908-1922. They are not.

Your stamps are from the 1922-38 series, or "4th Bureau" issue. Notice the "2" denominations are in large ovals. The vast majority of these may be identified with a perforation gauge. They require no watermarking this issue is not watermarked. The only "typing" will be the type I vs II on those you find to be 634/634A, and most all will be Type I.

I said 'wow' because I was surprised that the expectation was to identify stamp perforations from the low resolution image.

You do realize that there are only a handful of 554d's known (25-30 I think). Having 4 of them in the same group would be like winning 4 lotteries on the same day; but it is good that you are sending them out to be certified. Please post the certs when you get them back (hide any personal info on the cert in the image).

Posting the certs is important because we are all here to share and learn. These threads can remain viable for many years to come; by posting the resolution to this kind of identification thread we can help and assist many other hobbyists.

And you stamp is perf 10 at the bottom, and perf 10 on the left, and perf 10 on the right. Thus you have a Scott 583.

You don't seem to grasp the concept that 554d is perf 10 on only a top or bottom, AND perf 11 on the other 3 sides. Please re-read your catalog carefully.
