Hello Imperial22,
For this stamp, there are several colors:
a, aa, b, ba, bb, c and d,
This one looks as a "d" (1893-1900). Cancellation is less common, DOBRZYCA R.B. POSEN * * 27.02.1894
Best regards

The blue colors on early German Empire (1875 issue - Germanias) stamps are very difficult, or impossible to discern unless you are an expert. With these "crown and eagle" 20 Pf. stamps, cancel dates and UV viewing usually cannot narrow down the search. The only way to be sure is to send a stamp to an expertizer/Bundespruefer. |

with my paintings knowledge, not philatelist knowledge, I can insure you that this is Prussian blue 100%.It is regular dark blue mixt with a very small quantity of purple. And the cancelation I think is from Serbia |

Patrasf, I don't see any Canadian expertizers listed in my Michel Deutschland-Spezial Katalog. You must be a new Bundespruefer. |

The cancel is in present-day Poland (Posen).
Scanned stamps often do not look like the original, and in addition, colours look different on different monitors. |

Hello,
Yes they are difficult to identified.
Just to let you know, There are two classes:
Classe 1 : Blue with some red tint (a, aa and d color)
Classe 2 : No red tint (b, ba, bb and c color) c color is the so called Prussian blue.
Best regards
