I just received notice that my Kiosk FDC's have been shipped. I wonder what took so long. |

I suspect that the delay was caused by a special printing - the stamps may well be only partially "perfed", making it easy to transfer to the envelope. They did that with previous OFDC's like the last Picture Postage group. We''l have to check. |

Received my FDC yesterday as well.
And it was mailed to me outside of Canada.
Looks normal and uses the 14 digit code. |

Yeah... I have not received mine yet but I saw one on ebay and it looks like each stamp was applied to the OFDC individually - not as a semi-attached group, like this picture post issue: These stamps would soak off as a unit. Still, I can't imagine some postie sitting there and applying each stamp individually. |

Hi, I noticed on a post that you offered someone the opportunity for you to get them the kiosk stamps. I have the permanent set from the Post Office but not the US or International. I was wondering what they might cost me for you to send me a set in Regina. Thanks very much. I tried to send you an email direct but this site wont allow a new member to send an email so posted here.

I got these from the Vancouver Kiosk machine: They are the 4th stamp in the panes. Are they misalignment printing errors? The $1.20, $1.80, and $2.50 is right on the top edge of the stamp. |

For some reason, every strip of 5 I have as well as others that I have scanned has the 4th rows values and 14 digit code printed higher than the other rows. So I do not think that they are special, just an incorrect computer coded location setting. |

The shifting of the 4th stamps occurs on all machines in all locations (Edmonton and Toronto too) - the amount of shift varies from machine to machine. I believe it may also relate to the feeding of the coil through it's grippers and possibly when the guillotine occurs maybe the paper is slowed down during the cutting causing that 4th line to be higher.

There are six new Kiosks "coming soon", according to Jim Phillips, in the September 2017 issue of Canada Details.
They are to be located as follows:
Vancouver (2): Bentall Centre, 595 Burrard West Georgia Post Office, 710 Granville
Toronto (3): Toronto Dominion Post office, 77 King Street West Shopper's Drug Mart, 465 Yonge Another location at 279 Yonge
Montreal (1): Pharmaprix, 901 Saint-Catherine
No word on when the stamps will be available. |

Quote: Toronto (3): Toronto Dominion Post office, 77 King Street West Shopper's Drug Mart, 465 Yonge Another location at 279 Yonge Why would Canada Post locate all 3 Ontario Kiosks in downtown Toronto? |

The same can be said for Vancouver. The original and the two new ones are right downtown. |
