These must be getting rather scarce Rod.

I just had a look at Abebooks and couldn't see one for sale!

Hi Bobby,
it was you, whom turned me on to both Phoenix and Robson Lowe
I was outbid as you know, on the first half dozen or so,
but managed both Vol 3 and Vol 4 cheaply in the last few weeks.

I love the Robson Lowe, the paper, the hard bound and the information,
a bit like an extended Billigs.

Good luck in finding Vol 4, If I see it around, I'll give you a nudge.

Let us know if you need any particular scan of information.

What about the Subject Index of Vic Philately (Kellow)
Do you have it, and how does that work?

No I don't have that Rod. Victoria is way outside my collecting area!

It sounds like a bibliography of all articles written about Victoria philately from various journals etc.

NMC 944-1
NMC = Northgate Mail Centre
Hand struck cancels, ergo no CFCP = Culler Facer Canceller Preparation

But Yellow (Removable) sticker with Barcode applied across stamps.
Still do not understand this process
Any answers?

Thanks John,
That is very interesting.
I have gone cold on the purchase, at the moment.
I have been buying Literature, from one source, exclusively
and been happy, up until recently.

My "best offers" were generally accepted, but lately "declined"
so I did a test on one, and they were all declined, until I got to the
asking price.
Left a bad taste, so I have ditched them, and all items, I can see remain unsold.

That price of $15 is not bad for a hard bound reference.
My seller still has it at $44
.....and I noticed, Stanley Gibbons colour guide at $130 !

Thanks for the link, I'll keep an eye on their literature.

I am making a few new pages of cancels from Australia. It is fun to research the names of places so far away from Iowa.

Millicent, South Australia
Nanango, Queensland
Pingelly, Western Australia
Crossover, Victoria

Lovely Postmarks Linus

That's King George V. aboard "ANZAC"

I am rather proud of early Aussie Pmks, they do stand out in clarity and ink.
If you get stuck on any, give us a holler.

Good postmarks, with scarcity can return some nice finance for other purchases.

PINGELLY is just 98 Km North of my place.
I drive through POPANYINNING and PINGELLY sometimes,
when I drive to the City.

Rod

Yes, Australia does have nice, collectable cancels on their older stamps.

I figured you knew where Pingelly was located.

Wow! $3100 for a 1432 killer, I had no idea. I will have to see if I have any bar-number killers at all.

Here is my next batch. I got 5 out of 6, last one has me stumped:

Molong, New South Wales
Dalby, Queensland
Coolac, New South Wales
Quorn, South Australia
Stanley, Tasmania

???ANBE?
