Not sure what they are, or the realised prices.

The limited information I know about the George V image is that the plates were made by Perkins, Bacon and Company, and that it is a re-engraved die proof. It is rare but I do not know the value, though I expect it may run into a few thousand dollars, considering it does not have any reverse damage.

I do have two of five various trial colours of the plate proof made from the finished plate, these are extremely difficult to obtain and scarce. Shown is the black plate proof.



The Victorian image I have no info for. I have an 1872 block of 4 plate proof with perfect corners but the die proof is a little beyond my knowledge, I will do some research on the image shown.

here is a Tasmanian 1880 Platypus, there is five to a set, I am yet to locate the other 4 in the same condition, the majority are either used or hinged. Rod, your posts are excellent snippets of postal history, especially of Mueller's signature.

The "traffic lights" in the gutter was there as a security purpose, to prevent the illegal use of the blanks space, and the best way to do that is to make the security interesting to philatelists (true story).

As the firm lacked perforating Equipment, the stamps were rouletted for separation from the panes.

I observed my rememberance, by watching the sun come up this morning.

4:30am I climbed Bluff Knoll in Western Australia, alone by torchlight



Climbing Bluff Knoll, a round trip of about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi), takes three to four hours, and can be achieved by anyone with a reasonable level of fitness.[citation needed] It is important to be well prepared for the trek, especially in the colder months as many people have been exposed to the cold weather during climbs. Water is essential during summer as dehydration is a common problem for hikers. Many rescues have been performed by local State Emergency Service (SES) units. Hikers who fall and injure themselves may be unable to return to the base unaided. They may also become fatigued or fall victim to the elements.
