That's quite a booklet by Dix and Rowntree. Thanks for making it known to us. Have you any idea how it compares in terms of details against the current ACSC. (I've had my fingers burned a couple of times lately by using my 1980s and 1990s ACSCs but am not yet ready to spend $150 on just the KGV sidefaces volume.)

not really, I'm afraid, I use it for spot reference, if need be, or general reading.
One tends to use the latest material available to oneself, so that the information is current, and consistent with one's colleagues.

Even the ACSC can be wanting, if depth of study goes further, but these publications are expensive, and one usually passes on queries to members whom own that material.

It's kind of the crossroads of how deep you want to go.
I am fond of going the Postmark route, that gives a better monetary reward
for success of varieties.

Yes, I think I have, but the memory is clouded, very much so.
I saw them (I think) discussed somewhere, with images.

Possibly regarding a Postmark search.

Don't hold me to it, but I think you'll find they are normal ringed CDS's
but as a rubber stamp, and received the combination of worn rubber and a glancing blow of the hammer. (Maybe uneven surface of a Parcel ?)

Not sure where to begin a search for these

Tasmania Rubber CDS for example, they do exist.

The following is more of an artistic comment rather than a stamp comment, but, the image on that submarine stamp is really beautiful and interesting.

I like how the foreground of it - the part which would be invisible and under water is detailed and up-close. All while the above water part of the boat, which one would think would be the most visible (normally) is off in the distance, almost an after-thought. The blues used for the water are really nice as well.
