Rod,

I met Ernie Stermole on the weekend, bought a book from him via ebay and he then sold me a copy of his book, signed and dedicated, of course.

Lovely guy.

How splendid !
I don't know a great deal about Philatelic scouting,
but it's a real privilege to meet Philatelic authors, of any persuasion,
you lucky fella.

Post Office Box messaging card.
No AustPost ID Code aboard.
Would suggest Circa 2000, possibly earlier.

The stamp apparently shows that "an over-zealous zoologist has zigzagged past some zombies to zoom in on two dazzling Zebra Finches".

Rod - you are fantastic. Equally amazing is the person who strung everything together (I found it on the Australia Post collectables website):

A yellow-shirted yachtie, originally from Yackandandah, has yanked a bunch of yabbies from the Yarra River. And yowsers! He's wearing his y-fronts! Hope he doesn't scare the yo-yo-loving Yowie.

Whew! 5¾ platforms away, and he would have been in Hogwarts.
