I cannot confidently identify it.
No tell tale indication of the Die llB
I cannot see any distinct mesh direction in the paper.
Watermark not visible in water, which is strange.
the ONLY hint maybe a "slight" deform of the lower right frame. (ACSC 21,22,23 (U)J
..and maybe top right frame has corner knocked off.
Appreciate an ACSC number.

Your 6d chestnut kangaroo is definitely die IIB, the only type for these stamps.

The Die IIB break in the inner frame left of WA looks to be there, rounded top right corner and somewhat inked-over break above ST in AUSTRALIA.

PS: One of the rare stamps where one can distinguish claws on the forepaws,
usually on the kangaroo, it is just a blob.

Rod!Some of the things I find in kiloware!

Found this in kiloware about a month ago. New variety of 2014 Equestrian Events set of 5. After sitting on my sorting table for 3 weeks it came off paper!

The coloured center of these stamps we have to be very careful of as the colour will flake off in hot water. Also the coloured center takes a lot longer in time for the water to penetrate though it. It gives the impression that the stamp has glue stuck to the center of the stamp.

not had issues with either.
I only use cold water for perforates (Horsejumping)
and Bestine / Talcum powder for die cuts.

Have just finished a stock book full of sheet stamps from the end of 2015 to end of 2018, some 2019 coming though. With minimum of 20 set each issue. All using cold water.

It has taken me years to get these $1 stamps as so few of them are comeing through in the large lots of very recent kiloware. You could never do it by buying a couple of kilo per year, you need 10 kilos per month and then you can still be left wanting.

I also started to take the self adhesives off paper and have found cold water to be best as hot water seems to soften the paper to quickly. And yes there was a high failure rate but as I persisted it came to me the how of this art form. Decided that I did not want to do S/A $1 stamps. Just do not want to soak them on top of everything else. One of those things once I got it I left it and moved on.

No matter what I do I love to experiment and keep going back till I get something to work. The hardest part in stamping I find is to back out of a dead end with a soaking angle.

But these are the nastiest stamps Auspost has ever printed. No matter how you try to get their S/A glue off them they will peel exactly to the half thickness of the paper they are printed on. The only way possible is to use your method Rod with UN-DO. If anyone comes across any of the $1 era personalised stamps. Leave them on cover or use Rod way to get them off paper. There is no other way!

I may add, Bestine WITH the employment of the long nose pointy tweezers.
The tines slip under the stamp, in short order, and one can lift the stamp in 3-5 seconds, providing the stamp comes from envelope paper, and not anything thicker, as a postcard etc.
