Hi guys..Sent this off to our friend Tommy (our NFLD expert) to see what he thinks.

Take a look at the stamp on the right..It is a normal overprint, and the stamp on the left is a shifted "W" in the word "TWO" to the left.

Also look at the "T" in "CENTS"...The down portion of the "T" on the shifted stamp is at an angle, while the normal stamp the "T" is straight up and down.

This could mean another possible plate was used that we are not aware of..What do you think..??

I won't pretend to be an expert on overprints, but are you sure that the one on the left is legit?

Nice job and nice sharing--could be something notable, though need an entire sheet of this.

I've got 9 examples and lots of variety of the surcharge printing.

Here is a pair with similar shift over the top of the woman; also the "O" above the "S"

was the overprint plate type set. If so would you not expect some stsmp to stamp variation. As Tommy suggested you would need a whole sheet or at least large blocks to get some idea of the "normal" variations. I have a Commonwealth war tax collection and it is quite common to find these variations across a single sheet.
