My wife was right, my timing sucks. Over the last 5-10 minutes the web host service had a PHP glitch that took all the PHP functionality offline. (You can tell by the opening page. The "Philatelic Word of the Day' is PHP code and this also stopped working). The online membership form is handled by PHP code. I'm checking with them but right now it appears to be working again. Hmmm, working here. Did you try 'refreshing' the page? When you say 'no application' does it mean when you submit the form it does not come back with a 'Email sent' message? Does it throw any error messages? Thanks for your help. If anyone else reads this and has a minute, can you test by trying it out? http://www.stampsmarter.com/feature...bership.htmlDon |

I did get into membership application through the link you provided and signed up but I cannot get into the application or sign in through the Stamp Smarter site that I bookmarked from Google.
So I cannot sign in and not sure if my membership went through.
I did clean and clear everything I know how to do. |

Don, I'm sorry to hear about your health situation. I wish you (and your wife) all the best.
It seems to me as though this issue of saving websites is a general IT industry issue, and not just limited to our little philatelic corner of the world. It sure seems like a good opportunity for some cloud provider to provide web storage and some IT services company to have web programmers port and maintain (minimally) old websites. Admittedly, for something like what you've got, it would be best done from within the philatelic world, to allow better content management. I do hope that the APS decides someday to hire programmer(s) and assist with this type of activity. |
