Newspaper stamp of Austria 1908/1910 issue Michel number 157. Issued without perforation in a few paper variations. Practicly every (partly)perforated one is a private perforation. Kind regards Johan.

Oops forgot something important: I Wish everybody a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Back to the stamp. A picture of a unperforated pair and a privately perforated stamp, perforated on 3 sides 11 3/4.

Happy New Year.

The "Helmeted Soldier" is Hermes, from Greek Mythology, messenger of the Gods, hence the link to Philately.

It looks more like a Wilhelm looking across the border waiting to invade the neighbouring country. :)

The Helmeted Soldier is actually "Mercury in Flight".

Don't sell yourself short, it's not that hard.
Maybe Enamelled and Chalky ( I am still a bit discombobulated)

But the Transparent and the thick smooth are readily evident
Of course one needs a few examples to play with.
They are not expensive and in time, others will probably arrive for you.
