Hi guys..Sent these Scott 69 Queen stamp to BNAPS to figure out what these cancels are called...

A - Hamilton Ontario
B - Hartney Manitoba
C - Winnipeg Manitoba
D - ?
E - ?

Here is the old Hartney Manitoba post office picture (which is now a cafe)..1884

James Hartney makes application for a Post Office at his farm;
A separate building is put up which soon houses a store as well

John Blair assumes postmaster duties (until 1904)

Any help identifying these cancels/pre cancels would be appreciated.

Robert

Hi Wert, Happy New Year!
D and E look to be the same design, just turned 90º, but E looks slightly larger. Try measuring them, it could just be an optical illusion.
I looked in D.M. Lacelle's book of Fancy Cancels, and couldn't find yours, though there are some similar, especially one, #1135 for which he gives no location.
You might try contacting him through BNAPS and asking if he knows it. My edition of his book is from 2000, and I know he is constantly updating.
I've found the folks at BNAPS incredibly helpful and eager to answer question. So couldn't hurt!
Your other three (A, B & C) are roller cancels, but I'm sure you already knew that.

I did check some of Mr Lacelle's Fancy Cancel study group's newsletters on the BNAPS sight, but didn't see anything. Needle in haystack time.
