I was going through an older Canadian album and found this in a glassine in between some pages. Any value to it? I am not a cover collector. If anyone is interested I will put it on SCF sales or trade for equal value.

The most interesting part of this cover to me ... the 1 cent coil appears to have the end of the tan leader strip showing from its right side - thus the first stamp in the roll. A nice use! |

Looks like a standard registered cover from the Canadian Post Office's Philatelic Service sending a purchase to a collector in the United States. |

I agree with Jarnick. But also - looks like an unsevered booklet strip - yes? |

CanadaStamp - They are unsevered but there are perfs on both ends of the strip. Possible from bottom row of a sheet? |

John - I noticed that tan discoloration and did not know what it was. Thanks for the comment. |

Also noticed that the 3c stamps are from the earlier 1928-29 Scroll Issue and the 1c is from the later 1930-31 Arch Issue. Agree that the 3c are from the bottom of the sheet. I like the mark on the right of the 1c too. This could be the left side of a Line Pair where there was a vertical line printed between stamps on Coils of this Issue - Scott 178i in this case. |

The square green rubber stamp next to the Post Office Dept corner card reads Financial Branch, not Philatelic, so curious what the business would be. Might be interesting to research the recipient, Albert J. Hertel of Chicago, and see what you can find. |
