Thank you Rein,
copied the link to my weblinks folder.

Your work is always fascinating, albeit, some of the conversations on the link appear
passionate and somewhat heated.
Sometimes I find it more relaxing to be at the "novice" level.

I look forward to reading through the posts, and learning a lot more about Argentina.

I gather Scott Argentina is directed towards the more general collector, but I find their treatment of the Watermarks a little lacking, Wnk 89 "Large Sun" is barely readable, and the sun with wavy rays is not covered, yet have spaces in Steiner.
Its a good discipline to keep the grey matter active, but oftentimes, the novice is left scratching his/her head.

PERFINS v Punctures.

Opinion:
Fascinating find for an Argentine collector, but I would suggest his use of PERFIN
in this case is an oxymoron.
These revenues, should really be classified as "punctures"

PERFIN HBA = Harrods, Buenos Aires.

Mutilated Sc#56

I have seen this stamp in an Exhibition frame, with a signature aboard.

"Prohibited Pen Cancel"

Any members have more information on this?

Puncture "I O"
Appears at first sight to be "10"
It occurs with the puncture INUTILIZAD[O I]NUTILIZADO appears across a pane of stamps.

INUTILIZADO = Unusable

Note: Unusual to see the devaluing puncture on such a low value stamp?

Puncture ? PERFIN?
Numeral "14"
Unknown

Postmark 10th February 1933

Perfin BPB (Blunt pins, or sheet folded too many times)

La Plata / Buenos Aires + Sucursales Banco Provincia d. Buenos Aires BPB 1913 - 1951

1923 San Martin Lithograhy v Typography ID

Fairly self explanatory, note teeth
Lithography have small holes, Typography Large holes.

The typography issues, were designed for automatic machines, also referred to as "coil stamps"
(My suggestion) ...hence the larger clean perforation punctures.

Shades? my collection evidences large variance of shades in the 25c issue.
No mention of shades in SG or Scott?

Please excuse the bent tooth.
