I found this cover when is was sorting out some material. 1950 Exposicion Filatelica airmail block used as postage on a cover tot Germany in 1950. Filatelistic yes, but I thought a nice addition to this thread from which I already learned a lot. Kind regards, Johan. |

Hi Johan, cracker cover, going to the Saar, nice.
Opinion. I wouldn't consider that Philatelic. (Any backstamps ?) It paid for conveyance, registration and CDS. That's genuine, A keeper.

Hello Rod. A picture of the backside. The cover left Buenos Aires on the 28th of August and arrived on the 3rd of September in Saarbrucken. |

Super Johan, The cover is genuine, it may have been philatelic business, but that just adds to its flavour. It wasn't just made to look nice for collectors.

Quote: I actually bought these thinking they might be Spanish, or Colonial in nature. Nothing wrong with that, pretty close. As you can see, nothing kicking around the internet for "Minicipal" Revs. Very nice set 1850! Guess: Corrientes "Quimica" = Chemical office = Food safety inspection revs. Not listed Forbin. Nothing much I can add. |

I would classify these as more of revenue stamped paper(?) and wouldn't have the slightest idea of where to look for more information. What you have provided is the most I have found so far. They are pretty cool though, and take will take up a lot of space on an album page. |
