Here is an interesting postcard I recently acquired. The Reval cancel is dated 8 July 1905. I know Reval was the name of Tallinn before 1918, but can anyone make out the receiving mark (18 July 1915) and the address on the card?

Hi,
The first line of the address is "g. Odessa" (city of Odessa) and the receiving mark is "ODESSA".
I think the arrival date is 12th July 1915. |

Yes indeed Rod!
That would have been a very slow delivery otherwise. |

OK I should clarify!
Yes, it is 1905. "1915" was my typing error.
I was agreeing with Rod that it is not 1915. |

It was curious to see Brian and Nigel, both make the typo. 1915 Strange looking cancel impressions. They give the impression of rubber, not steel. |

Interesting. The post card is addressed to Elena Ernestovna Andrushevich. Based on her title "Visokoblagorodie" most likely the wife of an officer. Interesting to note that her last name could be Jewish, and that just few month later, October 1905, happened the most bloodiest antisemitic riot in Odessa. |

Just noticed the writing along the right edge of the card's face. Unfortunately, it is unreadable. |
