1953 Ship Mail Unknown Usage?

I unearthed these fine looking covers and my googling didn't lead me to any clearer understanding of their usage. I believe they are FDI ship Cds.

They all have a stamped address at the lower right is it a PO address?

Is there a catalog or link that I could use?

In order of pic.
