Does anyone know what "Lbr" means in this postmark from Kristianstad? I am thinking it is a "Lantbrevbärarstämplar" or Rural Mail Service Cancellation but it is not listed in this section of Facit Postal IX.

stampsoftheworld says that LBR means it was posted in a letter box. They give a Swedish word, but I suspect it is wrong, because it is the only result in a Google search for the word:

Not quite a Googlewhack, since it was only a one-word search, but still...

My Facit is not with me at the moment, so I can't dig any further to see if some variation might be there.

L = Läda Br = Brev = box letter (post box letter)

all the swedish towns didn't have mailboxes and mail would have to be handed over at the post office.. as time went by, more and more postboxes were placed. and mail from these boxes would be cancelled with this stamp.

or so i'm told
